We are going to join food cluster of DESIS and will start a research project in order to cause social innovation in food system. So we visited a small farmland managed by the students as part of our study. It is just next to Tokyo Zokei University campus. In such a small space, they are growing more than 10 different kinds of summer vegetables such as tomato, eggplant, cucumber, Italian parsley, zucchini, paprika, maize, melon, field peas, water melon, okra, etc. In city, supermarket is the place where people see vegetables most, so that it was an exciting experience for us to see how food is actually growing near the campus.
